My love for photography actually started way back in 5th grade, on a school field trip to BizTown—a tiny warehouse turned into a miniature city where kids got to “work” adult jobs. Before the trip, everyone had to interview for a position. At the time, I was obsessed with animals, so when I saw the photographer position at SeaWorld, I knew it was my calling. My job? Take pictures of other kids standing next to Shamu.

I studied hard for the interview, and guess what? I got the job! I was beyond excited… until I arrived and realized that the Shamu I had been dreaming of seeing was actually a 7-foot plastic toy. My disappointment was real. 😅

But here’s the thing something clicked. Even standing there with a plastic whale, I fell in love with the act of capturing moments, framing smiles, and telling a story through a lens. That day sparked a passion that has only grown since.
